Thanks for the suggestions. I've been teaching for a few years so I'm looking for books with ideas on different teaching methods as opposed to how to start up a class. I know what we learn from our own dance instructors is invaluable, but it's good to learn from other teachers experiences and outlooks too.

were you looking for the biz side of starting a dance class or just content for structuring a class? This is a book (well I guess it is a whole course- dvds, music, handbook, business templates, & weekly class plans) that may be helpful to the start-up of a business... but not having used it personally, perhaps some one else who has can comment on whether or not they recommend it. I just started reading Vol 1 of this series this and REALLY like it: http://www.zanbaka.com/versatiledancerseries.htm I think I am going to recommend it for all my students, but want to get through the whole thing first. I'll report back when I am done!

However, I bought her guide to choreography at the same time, and it's marvelous! So, I'm betting that her teaching one is also wonderful.
